Controller Photo Options

Photos are important within an enrollment system and in this section, we offer various options to apply to photos. Settings from the crop ratio to facial recognition features, including enabling the photo approval feature, can all be set here.

To edit these settings, click the Edit button at the top right.

General Settings

Photo Crop Ratio - This is the width-to-height ratio of the photo crop box.

Default Width - Put the number of pixels you would like the photo width to be saved.

Default Height - Put the number of pixels you would like the photo height to be saved.

Photo Resize Threshold - The number of bytes before an image needs to be resized.

Photo Resize Width - When a photo is above the Photo Resize Threshold, this is the number of pixels the width of the photo will be saved at

Photo Shape - Change the photo shape for Person Photos shown in the Controller UI. Options: Portrait, Round

Preserve Photo on Edit - Saves copies of the old photos when they are updated in the Controller Edit Photo UI.

Face Recognition

Face recognition is available for Photo Approval and CardExchange Stand Users.

Use Face Recognition - Enable the feature to scan new Person photos for face matching and verification.
Allow Photo Accessories - Allow scanned faces to wear accessories such as hats or sunglasses.
Allow Photo Head Poses - Enable to allow Person photos who face the camera at an angle.
Check Face Similarity - Compare the scanned face of the Person in the photo to it face in the previous photo of the Person.

Photo Approval Settings

Enable Photo Approval - Stage Person Photos uploaded to be approved before use in a card credential. Profiles that require photos will not be able to create a card credential until a photo is approved for the Person. Compare Against - Select between None, for no comparison, Compare and Approve Against Historic to have the software check the old photos to ensure it is the same person, or Compare and Approve Against ID to have the software check the person's photo with their provided ID.

Auto Release Approved Photos - Approved Photos are staged to await release and be accessible in Controller and third-party systems. Enable this to automatically release a photo to the cardholder credential after approval.

Auto Approve - Face-matched Photos will be automatically approved when reaching a Percentage % match or above. Type the number in the box.

Auto Disapprove - Face-matched Photos will be automatically rejected when reaching a Percentage % match or below. Type the number in the box.

Photo Approval by email

Photo Reject Reason

Create custom rejection reasons for photos. Type the reason into the box next to the others, then press Enter on the keyboard.
