Visitor Help - Activation and Registration
License Information
When you have used our Demo Edition and have purchased a full license from us or from one of our resellers, you will want to activate and register the license.
Our licenses contain two parts: a six (6) digit "Serial Number", and a 24 character "Activation Code". Both are required to activate a license.
Activating your license is very easy to do. Just start your new installed CardExchange® Visitor application or start your Trial Edition.
Requirement:
An internet connection is REQUIRED in order to Activate your license through the application. If you are interested in additional activation methods, see the "Other Activation Methods" section in the article.
Activating your License
There are many ways to begin the activation process, the easiest would be to select the Activation Window found in the Assist tab of the Ribbon menu.
When you begin, you will first be prompted for your Serial Number and Activation Code. If you have these typed out, it might be easier to Copy and Paste them directly into their respective boxes.
The Machine ID you see below the Activation Code is a unique computer name that CardExchange® Visitor will use to assign and identify where your license is installed. This information is also saved by our licensing system which will pose some benefits later on if you were to lose your license.
When you've entered your license information, Click Next. The application will now transmit your license information and activate the application.
License Registration
Once License Activation is completed, you can now register your license. Registering your license offers the most important benefit: License Recovery.
Registering your license can also help you stay informed about new releases, updates, and other exciting news we may have in the future.
In the registration page, you can enter your company and contact information. You can also select the printer brand you are using, the type of company you work for.
Your provided information will never be commercially sold and will only be used by CardExchange® Solutions and your reseller to provide you with important information about your software and hardware!
Continuing through the Registration process will offer more options for:
- Continuing your Trial functionality after activation
- If you would like to be contacted by phone or email
- When you would like to be contacted
- If you would like product updates to appear in your application and/or your email
During the registration process, your CardExchange® Visitor license has been activated. Click on Finish to finalize the activation and registration and start CardExchange® Visitor.
The application may need to Restart once in order for license information to fully apply to the application.
