Visitor Help - Visitors View and Layout

In the Visitors view you can carry out all the operations associated with Visitors, you can add/edit visitors, Check-in/Check-out visitors, add Events etc...

The Visitors view has four panes that can be moved, resized or hidden based on the user's preferences.

  • The Visitors pane (Shown above in red) shows a list of all the visitors.

  • The Badge preview pane (Shown above in blue) shows the preview of the visitor badge with the selected visitors' details.

  • The Visitor details pane (Shown above in Orange) shows all the available data for the selected visitor including photo/signature.

  • The Actions pane (Shown above in Purple) contains shortcuts to the most common actions such as Check-in, Check-out and Print badge.

User Interface Layout

Using CardExchange Visitor starts at the main ribbon tabs at the top of the application. These will change based on the current view, but the Default Visitor view will get you most of what you need. It is broken down into these tabs as such:

Home

The Home tab of the Visitors view makes it possible to carry out the most common functions required in the use of CardExchange® Visitor, like adding visitors/events, using Filters, checking-in, and checking-out, etc.

Data

The Data tab will allow you to look up, enrich, view, add, and delete data from Visitor records.

Photos

Photos will contain everything you need regarding Photos of the Visitor.

Signatures

Much like the Photos Tab, this contains everything you need for a Visitors signature.

Important: Signatures are available in the Standard and Business Edition of CardExchange® Visitor.

Biometrics

Much like the Photos Tab, this contains everything you need for a Visitors biometric information. Search via biometrics can be found here as well.

Configuration

Under the configuration tab, you can set some advanced options, create/edit the visitor badge design, change settings for the database columns and set up authorizations.

View

Under the view tab it is possible to set the language for CardExchange® Visitor, restore the view to the previous or default view and to hide the Visitor-details pane,badge-preview pane, Actions pane if it is not required.

Assist

If you need assistance for the application, the Assist tab will give you many options to explore our helpful guides, as well as giving options for Activation, Registration, or even finding more license information.
