Importing Controller Photos

The Import Photos feature in Controller allows you to upload a small batch of photos in bulk. This method supports up to 100 photos at a time, making it a quick solution for updating multiple records. To ensure efficient uploads, it is recommended that the photos are sized no larger than 50KB each.

Photo Naming Requirements

To successfully match photos with records, the photo files must be named according to a field available in Controller. It is recommended to use the Person Number field for naming. For example, if a person has the number 123456, their photo should be named 123456.jpg.

Steps to Import Photos

  1. Access the Import Screen:

    • Navigate to the Photos tab on the left-hand side and click Import to open the Photo Import screen.

  2. Upload Photos:

    • Drag and drop your photos into the box at the top of the screen, or click the box to open a file explorer and select your photos.

  1. Select a Matching Field:

    • In the bottom right of the import box, use the dropdown labeled Property to match photo on to select the field in Controller that matches your photo filenames (e.g., Person Number).

  1. Review and Select Photos:

    • Review the list of uploaded photos. You can select individual photos or click Select All to choose all photos.

    • Once your selection is made, click Upload Selected to start the import process.

 

 

  1. Monitor Upload:

    • A spinning icon will appear in the top right corner to indicate the upload is in progress. Once completed, the photos will be uploaded to the respective person records.

  2. Photo Approval (if enabled):

    • If photo approval is enabled, go to the Photo Approval screen to review, approve, and release the photos before they can be used in the system.

After completing these steps, you can verify the imported photos by refreshing the People screen to see the updated records.
