Use Find
In the Find section of the home tab you can find the functionality Find.
If you select this option, you enter a dialog window in which you can enter a combination of letters or digits to search on (only alphanumeric characters).
If you then click OK, the first element from records pane that contains the requested combination is selected.
If the first match is not the one you are looking for, you can search on the same combination by selecting Find next in the Find section of the Home tab. You can repeat this until you have found the correct record.
The advantage of searching in this way is that the text you enter does not need to be at the start of an element in the Records pane. The search does not make a distinction between upper- and lowercase characters.
With this Find function, all elements in the Records pane remain visible. Any restrictions to the number of records that are displayed, which would normally apply as a result of what you have entered in the text field, are overruled.
