This troubleshooting guide should help you identify why the card template layout is designed correctly, but when printed some elements are incorrect.

Change the Print Engine to XPS

The most common cause of this issue is the print engine the application is using to communicate with the printer. Be default the application uses GDI+. You can read more about GDI+ here: GDI+ Print Engine

The Print engine can be changed in the Card Designers Page Setup menu. See the graphic below to find the options:

Some printers will have better functionality with CardExchange and Trust ID depending on if they support the SDKL print engine.

Current printers that support the SDKL print engine: IDP 70, Magicard Rio Pro 360

A good way to test if your card will print correctly using the XPS print engine before using your printer is to print to the Microsoft XPS Document writer, or Print to PDF options.
