New GDPR Compliant Release

We are pleased to announce the release of CardExchange® Gateway version 1.2.2.36.  If you are using Producer or Visitor, this update applies to your software.

This release includes improvements to meet the requirements of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) effective in the EU from 25^th May 2018:

• Following the update, you will be asked to reconfirm your marketing preferences. We really want to keep in touch to inform you of new releases, updates and product news. If you wish to continue receiving these notifications, please update your preferences when prompted. You can also update your preferences at any time using the 'Register license' option in the Assist tab. You can read our updated Privacy Policy explaining how we use your personal information on our website HERE

• In CardExchange Visitor you can enable GDPR compliance features. Once enabled, visitors will be asked to confirm if they agree for their personal details to be stored after they check out. If they do not they will be automatically deleted. In the Business and Kiosk editions, you can also present your own Privacy Policy for your visitors to view and agree before they check in.

 Use this download when updating an existing CardExchange® Gateway installation on your computer. Gateway includes CardExchange® Producer and CardExchange® Visitor

Stand-alone CardExchange® Users:

You do not need to do anything, just run the update and continue using your CardExchange® software as usual.

Network CardExchange® Users (SBS): Action Required

Please follow the steps below to get updated:

STEP 1:

Prior to updating your CardExchange®, it is required you first update your installation of Sentinel RMS License Manager. This license manager is usually located on your server.

This applies to any users running CardExchange Gateway v1.2.2.34 or Producer v10.2.2.34

To update your licenses manager to the latest version you can download it from our website by using the following link:

STEP 2:

Extract the ZIP file and launch Setup.exe from the License Manager folder to begin the installation, then follow the steps in the Installshield wizard. Once the new license manager is installed, you should be able to continue using your CardExchange® software as usual.

IMPORTANT: Please use the new version of Wlmadmin.exe to manage your licenses as the Tools have also been updated.

Fixed a bug with Network licenses creating a Unified API error

A plethora of bug fixes have been made including:

• Printing large batches should no longer have anomalous scrolling behaviour

• Print-progress screen is now scaling correctly

• Database setup window should not break OCR fields any longer

• Database column names with underscores in front will display correctly now

• "Value cannot be null" will no longer show after opening a template inked to the CardExchange® Visitor plugin.

• Backround images switched with images with DPI's set to zero.
