Download the software to install:
You can download the 2010 database engine here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6x9wij6bf7ct6z0/2010AccessDatabaseEngine32bit.exe?dl=0
Download and save the 2010 Database Engine file the root C: Drive
Open the Command prompt:
Go to the Run, type "cmd" and press "enter" to open command prompt.
Navigate to the folder where you kept the software EXE file:
Once in the cmd command prompt window you should see this C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME>
Type in CD.. and return and repeat this command until you are in the root C: file/folder directory.
Select the software.exe file to silent install:
In the cmd command prompt window use this command: 2010AccessDatabaseEngine32bit.exe /quiet to bring up menu options if needed.
To initiate a silent installation of the 2016 Database Engine use this command: 2010AccessDatabaseEngine32bit.exe /quiet /quiet
This command will initiate a silent installation of the 2016 Database Engine. Depending on the permission level of the user profile you are using you may also get a confirmation yes/no window popup. Select “YES” to proceed with the silent install.
Silent install completion status:
You may see a quick cmd command prompt window appear during the installation and then close after completion. Manually close any remaining cmd command prompt windows still open.
Confirm 2016 Database Engine has installed:
Go to windows “Control Panel”
Once in Control Panel Open “Programs and Features”. Search for installed applications specifically “Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016(English)” to confirm installation was successful if listed in installed programs.ss
