To Identify Your License Type:
In the CardExchange Producer software, go to the Assist ribbon menu, then select About CardExchange to view your license details.
Standalone Licenses
Standalone licenses require a 34-character activation code for reactivation.
If you lose your standalone license details, recovery is possible with a service fee. More information.
Network Licenses
Network licenses also require the 34-character activation code.
Additional configuration steps are needed for network licenses. Refer to the Network License User Guide.

Important Notes
Unlock Requests:
If you are asked for an unlock
...
code after copying the data folder, Windows may have attempted to merge the
...
old and new data folders. Ensure that you rename or delete the existing data folder on the new PC before copying over the
...
backup from the old PC.
Non-default Data Folder Locations:
In some cases, the data folder may
...
be stored on a network share
...
for backup purposes. To confirm the data folder's location on the old PC, open the
CardExchange.ini
...
file
...
located in the installation directory.
...
Depending on the
...
version
...
, this could be in one of the
...
following locations:
...
Code Block C:\\Program Files (x86)\\CardExchange Solutions\\CardExchange Gateway\\
...
C:\\Program Files (x86)\\CardExchange Solutions\\CardExchange Producer\
...
\ C:\\Program Files (x86)\\ExchangeIT\\CardExchange\\
...
Inside the
.ini
file
...
, look for the
DataDirectory
entry to see the current path. If
...
the folder is on a network share
...
, you can
...
point the new installation to the same
...
path
...
.
...
Backups:
The data folder is automatically backed up
...
during upgrades, but it's recommended to regularly back up the folder manually since it contains all
...
configuration files
...
, templates
...
, logins, etc.
...
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully transfer your CardExchange® Producer installation to a new PC.
