CardExchange® Producer and TrustID are developed using the latest Microsoft technology and are able to use their XPS printing engine for printing.
Not all ID card printer manufacturers use drivers that support XPS technology. Therefore there is also the option of using the GDI+ print engine which is enabled by default.
At this moment we know that Evolis and Datacard are using XPS printing.
When ID card printers do not use XPS printing, this can result in poor quality of images and problems with resin printing if that print engine is selected.
This is why the default option is set to print via GDI+ printing.
As CardExchange® Producer and TrustID use advanced graphical objects that sometimes are not supported by GDI+, you can use this technology in combination with Pre-rendering of objects.
