You may want to create barcodes for all of your visitors. These are useful for quickly setting up registrations, or assigning unique identifiers for the different types of visitors you may have.
After a barcode has been assigned, you can scan a printed version of it to automatically search for a Visitor with that Barcode information.
We have three options to choose from when assigning a barcode.
Scan | If a barcode already exists that you would like to use, simply use a connected scanner to read the barcode. The application will then store that information in the Barcode field in the database. |
Generate | This will generate a random value to be assigned to the Barcode. By default, the barcode is a Numeric (0-9) 12 digit number that does not expire. |
Use Column | A barcode will be made using information already present in the Database. Select the drop down menu to see a list of options to choose from. |
Advanced Barcode Options
You can change the default auto-generated barcode options in the Advanced Options. You can change the Character type to be AlphaNumeric (A-Z, 0-9), adjust the character length, and set an expiration date so that new ones will need to be made after a set time.
