UV Printing Matica XID8300

To be able to print UV in the Matica XID-8300 printer you can follow the steps below:

Printer Properties Setup

1. Access Printer Properties:

   • Go to the printer properties.

   • Navigate to the Layer tab.

   • Under the UV/SC section, check the option "Print YMC and UV/SC on the same Retransfer Patch."

   • Ensure both UV/SC Area Front and Back are activated.

   • Also, check the option "UV/SC from 2nd page."

Single-Sided Card:

You should create two layouts:

1. Frontside Design: Ensure the layout has the Printable option checked in the Page Layout tab, but do not check the Backside option.

2. Frontside UV Text: Same as above; only check Printable and leave Backside unchecked.

Double-Sided Card:

You should create four layouts:

1. Frontside Design: In the Page Layout tab, check Printable and leave the Backside option unchecked.

2. Frontside UV Text: Same setup as above, with Printable checked and Backside unchecked.

3. Backside Design: For the backside, check Backside in the Page Layout tab.

4. Backside UV Text: Again, ensure Backside is checked in the Page Layout tab.

Card Designer Setup

1. Open the card designer.

2. Click on the blue page icon.

3. Click on the Page Setup button.

4. Go to the Template tab.

5. Ensure the Print Engine is set to GDI+.
