Configuration
Under the Start menu, open the
EdiSecure Connect

folder and then click onAdministration Center

on the top left corner of the utilitySelect the type of device that you are trying to add, in this case we’re selecting

Return to the Start menu, and in the
EdiSecure Connect
/Matica
folder open theDispatcher
/Job Monitor
. Here you’ll be able to check if the printer is properly detected, its status and job queue.
a. It should be correctly recognized if the circle in the left side is green, printer should be connected.
3. After that, please open CardExchange select the correct printer and try to print.
4. If is needed to do magnetic encoding, please be sure that you have the Magnetic option selected under the printer driver.

Troubleshooting
Some users have reported that during this step the Matica XID 8300 DS appears in the
Dispatcher
/Job Monitor
but instead of displaying a green icon it stays greyed out.To solve this issue follow these steps
Disconnect the printer from your computer
Return to the
Administration Center
/Device Configurator
and on the left hand panel selectDelete Group
. This will remove the configured printerInstall the following driver Matica XID Driver 8.0.1
When requested connect the printer back to your machine
Repeat the steps in the Configuration section
Printing & Encoding
Printing without encoding
With the printer now configured, please open your CardExchange®
On the top menu click on
Print
and then click onPrinter Options
Select the appropriate printer and press
OK
Select the desired card template and on the top menu click on
Print
, then click onPrint Card
and confirm the print by pressingOK
The card should be pulled into the printer and after a few seconds you’ll have your newly printed card
