You require the SDK license as this is not included with the scanner and is not part of the installation.
Each scanner requires its own SDK license, so if you have 10 scanners, you need 10 SDK licenses.

When you purchase the license, you will be asked to provide a Computer ID from the PC where the scanner will be used, you can use this utility to retrieve that ID. Simply extract the files and run the ComputerID.exe file. |

The SDK license is perpetual and includes 1 year of updates. After this, if you want to stay up to date with support for new driver’s license formats you need to purchase the ongoing updates here:
Annual Updates - $96.00
Remember that updates for the first year are included with the SDK so you only need to order the updates from year 2, if you want them.
