Changing the default Printer Properties

There are times where the Printer refuses to accept any changes in the printer properties. You would configure the settings that best suit you, and find that after printing none of those settings took effect. This is usually due to some form of bad communication between CardExchange/TrustIDv4, the Windows computer, and the printer's drivers.

We can, however, force the printers default properties to be what we need. Follow along with the steps to change the properties through Windows Printers and Scanners window

Instructions

  1. Click on the Start menu and start typing to search for: Printers & Scanners

  2. Select the printer you would like to modify, and select Manage

  3. Select Printer Properties

  4. Go to the Advanced tab and select Printing Defaults...

The printers driver software will launch and will allow you to change the default settings. After completed, in the application, you can go to Printer Options and select the Refresh button to reload the printer list. Make sure to then have the printer that you would like to print to selected and hit OK.
