There are some reasons why this error occurs:

That issue is caused is caused by the PC/SC version being set to 1 instead of 2 on the Contactless tab under printer options.

Please note that this issue was noticed using the following setup:

Evolis Printer
CrazyWriter
Mifare Classic Tags

How to fix?

1- Change the version to 2, refer to the image below:

This should solve the issue.
