EM Plugin

 

The CardExchange® Producer plug-in framework includes the EMPlugin, which allows you to work with EMarine to get the UID, SiteCode, CardNumber, CompleteNumber, and FacilityCode.

  • It has 5 Output variables:

    • SerialNumber/UID;

    • SiteCode;

    • FacilityCode;

    • CardNumber;

    • CompleteNumber;

Plug-ins are only available in CardExchange ® Producer Enterprise Edition.

Description

This plugin is compliant with EM4100,4200,4102.

 

Setup step-by-step

  1. Move the files inside of the .zip folder to the installation folder of the CardExchange Producer located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\CardExchange Solutions\CardExchange Gateway

Make sure that the .dll files are not blocked in the file properties:

To unblock the .dll file you should check the “Unblock“ option and click “Apply“.

After this, if Windows prompts you to replace the AMS file, you can keep the one already in the Producer folder.

 

  1. In the configuration tab, you should have the Card-definition Wizard (If you don’t see that button, please enable “Show advanced mappings“ in the Advanced Options button under the Configuration tab).

    Then to use the Plugin, you can enable the “Do you want to use external functions or plug-ins?“box and after that, the Edit button should be available to click where it will open a new window named “External-functions wizard”.

    There, you should set up the EMPlugin by selecting the EMPlugin.dll file and leaving the options “Call when printing“ and “Before writing to the smartcard“.

 

  1. Now, after setting up the EMPlugin.dll you can click on finish. Select the Storage Items tab, and map the storage Item/variable/database column to the items.

  1. You can create new Storage Items in the last step of the Database Setup

 

Print the card. You will now see the data mapped before in your database fields.
