UV Panel Printing
CardExchange Producer v10
Tested Printers: Datacard CD800
In Datacard printers, the UV panel, or “F” panel, area is typically located in the lower portion of the card. Place any elements that would be printed there.
UV Panel printing is not a natively supported feature in the CardExchange Producer software. UV Panel printing is handled by the printer manufacturer and driver functionality.
Text Objects
Objects to be printed on the F panel require a foreground color of RGB 217 (R = 217, G = 217, B = 217)
Template Page Setup Options
Additional options for the template should be set in order to help achieve UV panel printing.
Open the card template designer from the Configuration ribbon menu. Select the blue file icon in the top left corner of the opened Designer window, and select Page Setup. In Page Setup, switch to the Template tab at the top, and select the XPS print engine under the Print options.
Older Version 9 may not show an XPS print engine option instead a toggle for enabling GDI+. Disable (unselect) the GDI+ option to default to XPS printing
Printing Images in UV using an Opacity Mask
Printing an image also requires the image to be in the lower half of the card. Images will need the Opacity Mask property modified to the same RGB 217 value.
Note: Pre-rendering may be disabled in the Page Setup options. Flagging the image for Pre-rendering into the background image is not required
