Supported Printers

It is important to note that CardExchange® Producer, CardExchange® Visitor, and TrustID allow you to print to ANY Windows-supported printer. It doesn't matter if you want to produce ID badges, print labels, etc..

If the printer has a Windows printer driver, you can print to it!

Contactless encoding is only supported in the Business edition of CardExchange® Producer and the Pro-Smart edition of TrustID.

Contactless encoding is not supported directly in CardExchange® Visitor

If a printer is listed as supported for contactless encoding, it is only supported using the encoders listed here. Please check that the encoder fitted in your printer is compatible.

All magnetic encoding is sent using Macro commands through the Windows driver, this has been tested using USB printers but as long as the driver supports sending the Macro commands then this should work over Ethernet as well.

Contactless encoding is always done via USB, if you need to print and encode to a remote printer then take a look at our Print Server option along with the Business/Pro-Smart Network editions.
