Connecting an Oracle Database with TNS Names

When connecting to an Oracle database that is using TNS names, there is no option to specify this in the standard database connection Wizard.

  1. Enter TNS in the server field
  2. Give an arbitrary port number
  3. Type the TNS name in the database field.

This should then allow you to proceed to the next page of the wizard where you can select from the available views.

Note:

When connecting to an Oracle database the drivers are not automatically installed, you will need to download and install them from https://cardexchange.sharepoint.com/:u:/s/Support/ES_gvbreSkhBooIeO15KQPMBcPP_9XVgGvhbzeVACMUzlg?download=1
