Credential Details

Using Credentials

In the Person Details screen, the fourth tab is the Credentials tab. Clicking on this tab takes you to the Credential Overview for that person’s record. Each profile for the person is listed here, along with a history of the credentials created for that profile.

Managing Multiple Credentials

  • If you want a user to have multiple credentials, they must have multiple profiles. Each profile can only have one active card at a time.

Viewing Credential Details

Each profile pane displays details about the credentials associated with it, including:

  • Chip Serial Number

  • Status (e.g., Active, Blocked)

  • Start and End Dates

  • Creation Date

  • Blocked Reason (if applicable)

Adding a New Credential

  • To add a new credential, click the + button in the top right corner.

  • Note that you can only create a new credential if the current card is in a Withdrawn or Blocked state. If the current card is in any other state, the system will not allow a new card to be added to that profile.

If you have set default values for the start date, end date, and credential type in the Admin Center, these will automatically populate, and you can simply click Create.

Fill in any required information and click the Create button at the bottom right.

Managing Credentials

Next to each credential, there are two buttons for additional options:

  • Clock Icon: Shows the history of the credential, including events such as creation, printing, activation, and blocking.

  • Three Dots Menu: Provides options to Change Status and Edit the credential.

Editing Credentials

  • Use the Edit option to update the start date, end date, or credential type.

Changing Credential Status

The Change Status option will display different values based on the current status of the credential. For example:

  • After creating a credential, you can change its status to In Production to print the card.

  • Once printed, you can change the status to Activated.

  • If needed, you can later Block the card for a specified reason.

For a detailed explanation of the status workflow, see the Production Workflow section.

If the Profile associated with the person is in a Blocked state, you cannot add or re-activate credentials under that profile. To make changes, the profile must first be set to Active.
