Search Records in Controller
Defining Search Options in the People Screen
Within the People screen, there is a quick search box at the top. By default, the system searches through a pre-defined set of fields to find the data you are looking for. The default searchable fields include:
Person Number
First Name
Middle Name
Last Name
Birth Date
Email
Card Number
Chipserial Number
Pacs Card Number
Customizing Searchable Fields
You can customize the fields that the quick search will check by following these steps:
Access Search Settings
Click on the gear icon located at the top of the screen.
Select Search Settings from the dropdown menu.
Enable Expanded Search Fields
In the Search Settings menu, toggle the option labeled Expand Search Fields to enable it.
Select Search Fields
Once the Expand Search Fields option is enabled:
You will see a list of field groups.
Expand each group to view the available fields within it.
Select the fields you want to include in the quick search by checking the boxes next to the field names.
Note: By default, no fields are selected when you first enable this setting, so make sure to choose the fields you want to search by.
Performance Considerations
Enabling more fields in the Expanded Search Settings may impact the system's performance when conducting searches. To maintain optimal search performance, it is recommended to only enable the fields that you frequently use for searching.
This feature allows you to tailor the quick search to fit your specific needs while ensuring efficient performance.
