Using the Photo Workflow

During the lifecycle of a photo in the system, it moves through various states that determine its usability. This workflow ensures that photos are properly reviewed and managed before being applied to a person's record.

Pending

The photo has been uploaded and is awaiting review.

  • Next Step: Mark the photo as In Review, Approved, or Rejected.

In Review

The photo is under further evaluation by an authorized team member.

  • Next Step: Decide to Approve or Reject the photo.

Approved

The photo has been approved by an operator, but not ready for use in credentials.

  • Next Step: Move the photo to Released to use in credentials.

Released

The photo will no longer show up in the Photo approval screens. It can be used in Credentials, and will not show a status message on the photo through the system.

Rejected

The photo has been rejected and is no longer usable.

  • Next Step: Delete the photo if it is no longer needed.

Deleted

The rejected photo has been permanently removed from the system.

  • Next Step: No further action required; the photo is no longer available.

This workflow ensures that all photos undergo proper review and approval before being used in the system.
